A refreshing Iced Tea with a dash of bright lemon.
A quick lemon iced tea recipe with our Hendrick's Tea House black tea and a hint of lemon. It is not overly sweet, but just the right amount to showcase the floral notes of our Ceylon tea.
We made a strong brew, but feel free to add more ice for a lighter taste.
FLAVORS: rich black tea, floral notes, slightly citrusy and sweet. Cool and refreshing.
Makes 2 servings. Can be increased for party-size servings.

Directions:
Boil 2¼ cups of water
While the water boils:
Place 3 tea bags Hendrick’s Tea House Ceylon Tea in one pitcher. Pour ONLY 2 cups boiling water over the tea bags (reserving ¼ boiling water for the simple syrup).
Steep tea 5-7 minutes
In a second smaller pitcher, place 4 tsp raw sugar & pour remaining ¼ cup boiling water. Stir with a spoon until dissolved. Set aside to cool.
Once the tea has finished steeping, lift the tea bags with a spoon and twist the tea bag string around the bags to gently squeeze the leftover super-steeped liquid out of the tea bags & into the pitcher. Then, discard the tea bags.
Want to be eco friendly? You can allow the tea bags to cool, open the tea bags and place the used tea granules in garden soil.
Take 1 small lemon, cut about 2 inches (enough for about 2 tsp lemon juice), which is about 2 slices. Squeeze about 2 tsp lemon juice in cooled/warm (not hot) sugar syrup. Stir.
Add the lemon syrup into the tea pitcher. Stir.
Add 1 cup of ice to the tea pitcher (about half will melt), mix well. This will cool the tea even more.
The tea should be cool to the touch, you can divide the tea between two glasses.
Place additional ice in each glass.
Garnish with additional lemon wedges on the rim or lemon slices inside the glass.
Enjoy!
